The mark consists of the literal element "5°" (five degrees) is set in a rounded, white font in the center of a red circle, which is superimposed over a larger, concentric white circle, which is superimposed over a larger, concentric green circle. The green circle is largely obscured by the white circle such that it is effectively a border for the interior white circle; the white circle is largely obscured by the red circle such that it is effectively a border for the interior red circle, which is amply large enough to accommodate the prominent white literal element. Together, the literal element and three concentric circles comprise a point of focus in the design. The point of focus is set in the center of a sun design. The sun design is yellow with sixteen (16) stylized "flares", each "flare" consisting of one vertex protruding from two curved lines of similar concavity. The "flares" alternate in concavity and in size; there are two different lengths of "flare", the smaller length being approximately two thirds as long as the longer length. The stylized sun design is outlined in the same shade of green as the outermost circle in the circular point of focus.
